There are three ways to play the Exacta; Straight, Banker and Combination. With a Straight Exacta you need to select the horse you want to finish 1st and the horse you want to finish 2nd. They must finish in the correct order to get a return. A Banker Exacta is where you select the horse you think will win the race then choose as many horses as you want to finish 2nd. The more horses you pick, the more the bet will cost.

A Combination Exacta means you can pick two horses to finish 1st or 2nd in any order. This increases your chances of winning but also doubles your total stake.
