Guide to the 3DS2 verification process

Banks can use different methods to verify deposits you make to tote.co.uk. The three main methods of verification are explained below:

SMS code

  1. If you receive a 3DS2 challenge you will be asked to enter a code by your bank

  2. This will come to your phone as an SMS

  3. Enter the code into the box on the bank screen

  4. If the codes match, your deposit will be successful

PLEASE NOTE that, if you choose to have a code sent to you, your bank will send it to the phone number that you have registered with them, NOT the one you have registered with tote.


In app verification

  1. If you receive a 3DS2 challenge you will be asked to open your banking app

  2. In your app you will be asked to approve the deposit

  3. Once approved, the deposit will be successful.


Email code

  1. If you receive a 3DS2 challenge you will be asked to enter a code by your bank

  2. This will come to your email inbox

  3. Open the email

  4. Enter the code into the box on the bank screen

  5. If the codes match, your deposit will be successful

PLEASE NOTE that, if you choose to have a code sent to you, your bank will send it to the email address that you have registered with them, NOT the one you have registered with tote.
