At the tote there is a range of bet types available. We have both single (bets on a single race) and multi's (bets across multiple races).

Single Exotic Bets

Exacta
The tote exacta is the equivalent of a forecast, select a horse to finish 1st and a horse to finish 2nd.

You can play a single line, selecting one horse to finish 1st and 2nd in the correct order, or multiple horses to create a permutation.

Trifecta

The tote trifecta is the equivalent tri-cast. The trifecta is essentially the same as the exacta - only it involves picking horses to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the correct order.

You can play a single line, selecting one horse to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd, or multiple horses to create a permutation.

Swinger

A swinger is a little bit different to the two above, it requires you to correctly select 2 horses to finish in the top 3 in the race. They can place in any order and again, you can select more than two horses to create permutations.

Multi Exotic Bets

Placepot

The placepot is one of the Tote's most popular bets, and is the most popular exotic. A placepot requires you to select a horse to place in all 6 of the predefined races. You can play a single line, selecting one horse in each leg to place, or multiple horses in each leg to create a permutation.

Jackpot

The jackpot is very similar to the placepot, with the difference being you must pick the winning horse in each of the 6 races to win the bet. You can play a single line, selecting one horse in each leg to place, or multiple horses in each leg to create a permutation.

Scoop6

The scoop6 runs every Friday and Saturday, and requires you to select a horse to win/place across 6 races of tote's choosing.

The way the scoop6 differs from the jackpot and the placepot is that this bet has two pools. A win pool, which you must pick all 6 winners, and place pool for customers who don't manage to pick all 6 winners but pick some that place.

Customers who pick 6 winners, also get a dividend for the place pool AND they are entered into the bonus pool. The bonus pool will be won by picking the winning horse in a single race the following week.

Bets for the scoop6 cost £2 per line, so permutations can be quite expensive, but the pools often get very big so winning is worth it.

Placepot7

The placepot7 is the newest of the the tote multi leg bets. It is exactly the same as the placepot just over 7 legs instead of 6, and often follows the ITV races.
